Alice in Wonderland
A Classic Collectible Pop-Up from Little Simon/Simon & Schuster, 2003

Here's a fresh look at Lewis Carroll's original story, by Robert Sabuda, and is said by some critics to be his most amazing creation ever. Similar in design to his Wizard of Oz pop-up, Sabuda even offers readers a spectacular peek down into the rabbit's hole.

However Sabuda's use of vibrant colors and textures earmarks it as his original illustrations. The text is abridged--true to the original--and the pop-up illustrations portray a generous number of main events, including the Mad Hatter's tea party (complete with foil dishes). The very first spread launches a wonderful walk through this adventure, as readers find Alice scurrying through a pop-up forest. Truly a masterpiece!
