Saturday, July 5, 9am. Yurt-Raising Party with the Chintimini Wildlife Center. We will be starting off at 9 am with the yurt raising. Everyone can come whenever you want throughout the day. Come early if you want to see how a yurt goes up or just drop in when you can. We estimate that it will take us all day and maybe even into Sunday to complete it. Wednesday, July 23-Saturday, July 26. 25th Anniversary of the Annual Gardeners Mini-College. Held at CH2M Alumni Center on the OSU campus. The theme for this year's Mini-College is 'Going Green on our Silver'--a theme that pays tribute both to the 25 year history of the Oregon Master Gardener Association, as well as the sustainable gardening techniques that the Master Gardeners practice and promote. Monday, July 28-Friday, Aug. 1. Riparian and Aquatic Ecosystem Monitoring Workshop at the Johnson Creek Watershed Council Offices, Milwaukie, OR. Close to downtown and transportation corridors. This five-day workshop is designed to provide participants the programmatic and technical methodologies to teach and conduct stream and watershed monitoring. It is designed for anyone with a reasonable
science background interested in technical aquatic and riparian ecosystem monitoring programs including educators (junior high, high school, or college) agency resource professionals (working with volunteers or using volunteer data), volunteer monitoring coordinators, watershed council representatives, and representatives from environmental organizations.
