Library Tips, a Little Checklist of
Reminders
Mt. St. Helens. If any of you hear about new books of special interest to women pilots, let us know
Tips for Borrowers
*Check that the owner's name and phone number is in (or attached to) the
materials.
*Agree upon a reasonable "return by" date and mark your calendar.
*To prevent misplacement or damage, find a safe (away from children or pets)
"home away from home" while you are reading the book or using the
materials.
*Many of our favorite aviation books are out-of-print or otherwise available in
limited quantities. You are borrowing someone's treasure. Use a bookmark and
handle with care.
*Consider writing a brief review for this page of the material. A typical book
review provides the basic information and outstanding features of the work.
What did you especially like or find useful? Did the work excite or inspire
you? Would you recommend it to future women pilots? Who will the work appeal
to? All pilots? It will make our page useful to Ninety-Nines everywhere.
Tips for Loaners
*Be sure to mark your name and phone number well in the materials that you
offer to loan. Even pilots are occasionally forgetful.
*When you loan something, you may wish to jot yourself a note in your calendar
or diary.Even pilots occasionally forget. Folks have unexpected events such as
travel or illness too.
* I would like to be able to sort the works offered on this page by topic. Reviews from loaners are equally welcome. Even a brief annotation is helpful.
