- The Three Little Pigs
- Retold and Illustrated by
Barry Moser
- Little, Brown, & Company,
2001
- For ages 4-8
-
- Once upon a time, when animals could talk the same as
people, three little pigs lived with their mother in a forest.
-
- So begins Barry Moser's refreshing retelling of this classic
children's story. The three pigs say goodbye to their mother
one fine Valentine's Day and set off to make their way in the
world.
-
- A determined wolf gets his way with two of the pigs, but
watch out. The third little pig has other plans! Moser's funny
watercolor illustrations add a refreshing touch to a timeless
story, from the bag of "Wolfe Pruf Cement" used in
the building of the brick house, to a recipe card in the kitchen,
which reads: My Mama's Wolf Stew with Garlic. Take
one wolf...
