The Thanksgiving part of the set includes popular episodes like The Mayflower Voyages (1988), It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and This is America. Narrated by Linus, The Mayflower Voyages describes some of the hardships the pilgrims faced on their journey to America. In A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Snoopy plans a last-minute feast of popcorn and toast, to try and remind his friends about the true meaning of Thangsgiving. That episode won an Emmy in 1973, and remains one of the most popular Charlie Brown episodes.
The Christmas disc contains the classic "A Charlie Brown Christmas" where Linus explains the true meaning of Christmas and "It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown." It's a good reminder of "the reason for the season," and makes for wonderful holiday viewing as a family.
