Music is designed to stimulate the senses and encourage exploration.
It features fifteen new toys, and is geared to meet the needs
of three major developmental periods: 0-2 months, 3-4 months,
and 4+months. Because it offers specific developmental benefits
for those periods, it is attuned not only to the average milestones
of very young infants, but to the exceptional babies who require
more stimulation in certain areas.

- An electronic lights & music Touch Pad plays two types
of music--classical Mozart and familiar nursery tunes/lullabies.
The battery-operated touchpad (3 AAA batteries) allows parents
to choose the mode according to their baby's need. Mozart plays
continuously for ten minutes--soothing to a fussy baby. The Nursery
Tunes selection offers three shorter tunes. When the music begins,
three fabric flowers light up and blink, and shut off when the
music stops. To start the music again, press the Touch Pad, or
switch to the Off position to end it.

- The mat itself contains six different textures, including
a crinkly elephant's ear that was a big hit in our baby test.
Pull the giraffe tail, push a squeaker, or give a hanging monkey
a pull. Springy legs pop back into place and invite baby to tug
again. Pull a dangling purple elephant for a different surprise--a
jittery vibration catches baby's attention as it slowly returns
to its original position.

- Easy to assemble, this product is made of a washable fabric
base. Remove the overhead arches, from which colorful animal
friends dangle, detach the large circular mirror at one corner,
and unfasten the music box/Touch Pad. It's easy, thanks to Velcro
fasteners. Toss the blanket base in a cold wash, then line dry.
Do not tumble dry. After drying, the electronic unit can be inserted
back into the special sleeve. Considering the many parts that
make this such an attractive purchase, it takes little time to
disassemble or put together again--a plus for busy parents.
