Extreme Days (teen flick - PG) Rolie Polie Olie's Holiday video - Jingle Jangle Holiday Mr. Henry's Wild & Wacky World series, with Frank Peretti
Mary Lou's FlipFlop Shop - Today's kids may not recognize Mary Lou Retton, but Moms and Dads around the world remember her 1984 Olympics win. Her perfect vault sealed her spot as the All Around Gold Medallist in gymnastics. Her sparkling smile stole our hearts, and today she is captivating a new generation of children through her Mary Lou's Flip Flop Shop video series from Tommy Nelson. The aim of this series is to "get kids up and moving," and it certainly delivers on that promise! Each video has thirty-minute episodes with the same colorful characters kids have grown to love from her TV show: Professor Blinky; Mr. Bump, the clumsy yet charming deliveryman; Miss Warble, the neatfreak Flip Flop Shop custodian; and Jumpy, Mary Lou's curious sidekick. For ages 4-7. Visit Tommy Nelson's website for a list of the latest titles. Scooby-Doo Meets Batman - The Scooby-Doo gang finds themselves wandering in the middle of the forest near Gotham City. Suddenly, they realize they are being trailed by some evil monsters who have been wreaking havoc on the local population. Mystery Inc. has to unravel the mystery, with the help of the Dynamic Duo, of course. Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are scared and hungry, and launch into some of their wacky routines, while Batman fans will love special appearances by the Joker and the Penguin. The Little Mermaid - A modern Disney retelling of a classic. Here's the story of a young mermaid who longs to "spend a day, warm on the sand." Enter Ursula, the Sea Witch (whose voice belongs to Pat Carroll). She somehow convinces Ariel to trade her lovely voice for a pair of legs, but Ariel must receive "true love's kiss" in just a few days. Enter Sebastian - a singing crab (no, really), and a loudmouth seagull, and a fishy flounder fella. Lyrics & music by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken are not only beautiful, but will evoke laughter from the whole family. They've captured the secret to witty songs, which seem to pop out of nowhere at just the right moments. Return to Never Land is the continuing story of Peter Pan's relationship with members of the Darling family. This modern sequel to the original lives up to the expectations of even those who felt that it was impossible to seamlessly add anything to the classic. In this movie, Wendy's daughter (Jane) is tired of all those stories about "faith, trust and pixie dust." Her father has left for war and she is suppose to join the other children of London, traveling by train to the air raid shelter (note: the movie mistakenly, I believe, used the term "bomb shelter," which was a common term of the 1950's), where she'll be safe. Her mother's attempt to encourage her with stories of Peter Pan and his adventures really get on her nerves. See what happens when Hook shows up.Check out the DVD version! Shrek - Spectacalur animation, with voices that are close to perfect, make Shrek a movie to watch many times over. Shrek is upset, because evil Lord Farquaad has booted a pack of fairytale celebrities and they have moved into his house. Shrek wants nothing more than to be left alone--or so he insists. He's an ogre, and ogres are loners--or are they? He decides to pay a visit to Farquaad (whose voice is supplied by actor John Lithgow), to demand his house back. Donkey (Eddie Murphy) accompanies him. When he discoveres a princess-in-need, the real excitement begins. Want DVD instead? Quick-Click Recommendations, with related products:
