Cleaning Up

by Barry Minkow

This book reads like a suspenseful novel, only it might surprise you to discover that it's all true. Barry Minkow was a wonder kid - a teen with a thriving company at age sixteen. By the age of twenty, he'd taken his company publixc, turning a carpet cleaning business into an unbelievable level of success.

But by twenty-one, Minkow received a twenty-five year prison sentence, in addition to a charge to repay some $26 million in restitution to victims of a scam that sent him catapulting on a downward spiral. Cleaning Up is his story of hope--how greed and corruption took him down a path he never intended to go. Most of all, it carries a message of hope for anyone who has ever felt unsalvagable.

Readers will hear about his second chance, and not only that--how he set things right by uncovering over a billion dollars worth of investment scams through the Fraud Discovery Institute, of which he is co-founder. Minkow has experienced life from both ends of the spectrum, and freely explains, "I remembered the techniques I used to deceive people and applied them to fraud detection. In the process, I uncovered over one billion dollars in fraud."

Barry Minkow is a survivor who found God's forgiveness and ran with it. He is senior pastor of Community Bible Church in San Diego, California, and divides his time between busting investment scams and ministering to his beloved flock.
