Vtech BUILD & LEARN WORKBENCH
3 AA batteries required

VTech, the creator of the award-winning V.Smile TV Learning System, is a world leader of age-appropriate learning toys. Through the combination of entertaqining electronic formats and engaging, age-appropriate content, VTech's products help children learn while having fun. Their Build & Learn Workbench is another such product. Don't be fooled; this is not the old wooden pound-the-pegs workbench from former toddler days. This one talks! Just press the big green star in front to turn the unit on, and let the fun begin. The Build & Learn Workbench welcomes kids with a cheerful, "Hi there! Are you ready to build? Grab your tools and we'll build something cool!"Select one of the four tool-shaped activity buttons on the console to learn numbers & counting, shapes & colors, building projects, and more!

A colorful screen forms the backdrop for the workbench, and displays a square for each letter of the alphabet. Press a square and a voice names an object that represents that letter.
The Build & Learn Workbench helps children stretch their imagination through role-playing exercises and hands-on fun. All the while, they're sharpening eye-hand coordination. They'll begin to explore tools and activities in depth, once they learn their way around, with 26 touch-sensitive projects that invite them to interact with the workbench. Tools are chunky and kid-friendly, built to be grasped and turned by small hands. As a child accomplishes each project, he'll feel more confident about coming up with new projects on his own. As he accomplishes each task, a voice encourages him and helps create a sense of success. The design includes storage space for each tool and accessory, so parts aren't misplaced--a nice perk for parents!

This is a toy that won't be tossed aside within a few months. It's durable, built to last, and is a toy most grownups wish they'd had back when they were kids.
