My friends tell me they can't wait for my trip down to visit them.
Down from California to Oregon.
Seems they live in a valley, maybe it's always down to them.

I feel down this trip.

The computer network was down the night just before I left home.
Cable TV was down the whole day prior, no weather channel.
The rain was coming down.
The lines were down, power was down, trees were down.
Down along the road, down on the road, down on cars.
But at least no snow, no chains required.
