Internships

Avery House Nature Center is pleased to offer exciting internship and volunteer
opportunities with a non-profit in environmental Education
Volunteers are needed to:
- Assist instructor with programs
- Help with office work
- Set up and man tables at local events
- Help care for in house animals
- Open to other Volunteer possibilities

Internship Opportunities - Can receive 1 or more credit hours
We can work with you and your departments Internship director to make an internship that fits with your program. Some options are:
" Environmental Education Experience -Start by assisting a lead instructor and move toward planning and teaching a lessons
" Create Kits to be taken to schools or other locations.
" Create Displays for local events.
" Help plan an redesign class room space.
" Look for and write grants.
We have one opening for an Americore Links Position to receive $1000+ dollar stipend and tuition money. Twenty to twenty Five hours a week through the summer.

Volunteer and Internship Orientations schedule:
Held at Avery House Nature Center April 17th at 6:30pm
On Avery Park Road . May 24th at 7:00 pm

Summer Schedule:
Nature Vacation : 5-7 year olds, June 19th-30th
Preschool Programs : 2 ½ - 5 year olds, Every Tuesday morning
Get into Nature: Middle school camp, July 10th-14th
Kidspirit program: 5-10 year olds, half days July 10th - August 4th
Outdoor Adventure Camp: 9 - 14 year olds, August 14th -18th
Eco-Expedition: 8-11 year olds August 28th- September 1st
Da Vinci Days: July 15th
Kids Day for Conservation: In September
