*   Valley Woodworking in Rochester, N.Y. makes full-size and scaled-down model wood-strip canoes.

*   Franklin Cedar Canoes in Franklin, Maine builds a rib and plank version covered either in canvas or clear fiberglass, or a strip-built version of four different canoe models, and sells the plans for the same; also sells hand-carved hardwood paddles and canoe sailing plans.

*   Headwater Wooden Boat Shop Dick Persson in Buckhorn, Ontario, Canada does repairs, restorations, and builds wood-canvas canoes, kayaks, and other small boats.
