HI!!
I have a question about the sheer line. How do you lay out the gentle curve, and make it the same on both sides? I have thought about a pattern, but don't know how I would position it. Thanks for any advice!!!

Use the same strip on both sides as your curve-making strip. Clamp it at the center form and the 2 stem forms on one side, mark the line. Measure the distance along the perimeter of the hull straight down from the keel-line at the center form and the number 3 form, and its symmetrical partner in the stern half. Transfer those distances to the other side of the canoe with pencil marks. Clamp the strip on that side as you did on the first side of the canoe, and make whatever adjustments necessary to make it meet the pencil marks that you made. The two curves should be very nearly perfectly matched and symmetrical.
