Happy David leaning on the top of the humm-E After more than 2 years of off-and-on struggle, this was a very satisfying day.

David behind the wheel I got up to 15 mph or so on this modest test, and was pleased that the speedometer actually worked.

Milestone One of the more exciting days of my life, I turned the key, and --- it worked! As it was supposed to! I still need to adjust the position of the air shocks, and install a few leftover items.

June 9, 2007: Speed Run This was even more exciting, hitting the street on an early Saturday morning in hopes of encountering little traffic and no cops. I exceeded my expectation of a top speed of 35 mph, wearing my bubble-shield helmet, since I still have no windshield. I couldn't figure out a quick way to fasten the camera securely to the frame, so I drove with my right hand and held the camera with my left. Living on the edge, out of the box....
