With the help of more than 100 volunteers we completed the Meadows and Lake Kathleen Railroad on October 13th, 2007. We do not charge for rides and visits are by invitation only. We essentially turned a 73 year old cow farm into a wildlife preserve with totally restored riparian areas for salmon and wildlife that we believe even Mother Nature would be proud of. We do not allow any hunting of fishing on our piece of heaven. We continue to share our place and run our train for invited guests almost every Sunday afternoon. Updated OCTOBER 4th, 2008. An agreement has been reached which will allow our railroad to function well into the future. To give you an idea of what we started with I have posted 5 before (1996-7) and 5 after (May 2008) photo's of our place under the "View our Meadows" column on this home page. As I tell my friends....."it is far better to know someone with a railroad than it is to build one".
