Text:   John 20:19-23 and 1 John 1:8-9

Sermon Outline:
  What does the Catechism teach us about the Office of the Keys and Confession?
  l. The Lord Christ has given to the Church the power and the authority
     to grant or withhold forgiveness in Jesus' name.
  2. Through the Catechism, we see the need for personal confession.
  3. The Office of the Keys leads us to Christ’s open door of forgiveness.
