Ch. Carquinez Amber Dawn of Gray Castle
(Red Somali Female)

Amber is our first Somali and was acquired from the Carquinez cattery in Benicia, CA. She was brought home on August 25, 1998. She entered her first show on Sept 12 as a kitten at the School Daze show in Portland, OR, and got her champion title at the Santa Claws and Kitty Paws show in Portland on Dec 6.

On April 14, 1999 Amber was bred to GCH MittsnPaws Wild Knight of Carquinez and had a litter of four kittens on June 19 (two ruddy boys, one ruddy girl, and a red boy). The two ruddy boys (Akira and Zazen) are now pets in a home in Atlanta, GA. The ruddy girl (FireFairy) was placed with a Somali breeder in Tokyo, Japan. We still have the red boy (Rasputin) who attained his premiere title in March 2000. (Kitten pictures)

On March 15, 2000 Amber was bred to GCH,RW MittsnPaws Zoltan Lukas and had a litter of four red kittens on May 21. At last check, we had four girls. We hope to keep one of the girls to eventually replace Amber as a cattery queen. (Kitten pictures)
