Amber's first litter of kittens (born June 19, 1999) has been placed in new homes except for the red boy. He attained his Premiere award in March and is currently available for a new home. Misty's kittens are all spoken for except for Davy who is being kept in the cattery. Amber's current litter has four red kittens born May 21. Two or three of these kittens will be available for placement in the Fall. If you might like to purchase a kitten please send e-mail to the mail link below. The Gray Castle Cattery is not a pet shop. One of the many key differences between our cattery and a pet shop is that the purchase of a kitten is not a quick, faceless transaction where you hand over a check and we hand over a kitten. Our cattery takes an active, on-going interest in the welfare of each and every kitten we place. We would like to know a little about the people who purchase our kittens and a lot about the homes that our kittens are going to.
The sale of a kitten will be accompanied by a sales contract. In that contract our cattery will agree to provide a healthy Somali kitten with CFA registration, an accurate pedigree, current vaccinations, and no known undisclosed health, temperment or behavior problems. Additionally, the contract will require that you maintain current vaccinations and veterinary care for the cat, that you do not have the cat declawed, that you do not allow the cat unconstrained access to the outdoors, that you do not allow the cat to be used for any laboratory research, and that should you ever sell or transfer ownership of the cat, the new owner will be bound to these same provisions. All pet kittens are spayed or neutered prior to placement.
