OPEU web-page with links to other labor sites. A bit difficult to use because of the many "frames", and the huge logo taking up about a third of your screen space. I can't figure out how to delete that space-hog logo frame, but things are easier to see if you "right click" and open the main page and every other page you want in a new window.

  • The 1999 Oregon Legislature introduced some bills that should concern SCF workers and our friends in child welfare. Take a look at their final status at 1999 Oregon Legislation
  • Check out the final status of our favorite bills in the 1997 Oregon Legislature. Click here for Bill Summary SEIU main page or their directory of other locals' websites.

Local 509, covering Massachusetts Child Welfare Workers, has a web-page and their contract on-line, with Supplement Q covering caseload standards, among other topics.

Go to the website for Department of (some) Human Services Web Page or State Office for Services to Children and Families(SCF)

Look up Oregon state employees e-mail or phone # at State of Oregon Employee Directory. For some agencies, you can get a list of ALL employees [but not for DHR Divisions, as of 29 Jan 99] If you use only the office phone number, you can get a list of all employees with that number.

Go anywhere in Oregon at Oregon On-Linefor links to the legislature, governor, ORS, Administrative rules, and text of legislative bills.

The 1981 NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Child Protection are still valid, if terribly dated ["caseload of 20-25 families in CPS"].

For links on Child Abuse and Neglect, please visit The Child Abuse Prevention Network at Cornell University. Their Bookmarks page includes a link to the (somewhat complex) index of the Wounded Healer. Both of these sites are updated regularly.
